Our Story

At Greener Pastures Biocremation, our journey began with a passion for animals and the need for better equine after-life care options. Not only does it release large quantities of harmful emissions, but due to their large size, traditional fire-based cremation often requires horses to be dismembered prior to incineration. Studies have found euthanasia drugs such as pentobarbital still present in soil even one-year post-burial, posing risks to wildlife and groundwater. This leaves owners with the option to dispose of their horses in landfills, which is an inadequate solution.
